The 16th China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (CHIC2008), which lasted from March 28th through to March 31st, closed with great success in Beijing.

As the first exhibition in the New China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) as well as reunion of former two sessions after four years' separation, CHIC2008 was paid great attention and expectations before it kicked off. After four days' exhibition, CHIC2008 handed in a satisfactory answer sheet.

Although there existed some problems with the nearby transportation and exhibition facilities, CHIC2008 was quite successful, said Mr. Chen Dapeng, Vice President and Secretary General of China National Garment Association. The number of visitors to CHIC2008 during the four days amounted to 105,000, maintaining the same level as the last year, with a significant improvement on the quality of professional visitors. "We can say that as the first exhibition in the New CIEC, CHIC succeeded in completing its significant turn." added Mr. Chen.
